Cyril Bishop's name is synonymous with the development
of pipefreezing technology over the past 25 years.
He founded the first dedicated pipefreezing company
in the early 70s, was a founder member of (and the only pipefreezing contractor
associated with) the Pipefreezing Research Programme at the University
of Southampton, and was also the Engineering Consultant to the "Guidelines
for good practice in pipefreezing", published by the University in 1991.
Cyril Bishop has carried out pipefreezing operations
in the UK, Europe, the Middle and Far East, Australia, and the USA, in
onshore and offshore environments. He performed the first offshore
pipefreeze in the North Sea, and the first in a commercial nuclear plant
in the USA. |
